December, 19, 2007

Ivy Equities announces the acquisition of the real estate portfolio managed by the Paramus-based Alexander Summer, L.L.C., one of New Jersey's oldest and most respected owners and managers of commercial real estate. The portfolio consists of 1,000,000 square feet of well located industrial and office assets throughout New Jersey.

"Ivy Equities is extremely pleased to announce the addition of Alexander Summer's real estate assets to our growing portfolio," said David G. Archibald, chief investment officer of Ivy Equities. "Ivy is proud to be continuing to grow our portfolio with significant bulk acquisitions such as the Alexander Summer portfolio and we are particularly pleased to be expanding in the industrial sector. This acquisition is consistent with our track record of identifying and closing on strategic assets that leverage our value-add relationships throughout the New York Metropolitan area."

The stabilized real estate assets, which were acquired from partnerships managed by Alexander Summer, include four industrial buildings in Carteret, two office buildings in Morristown, and one flex building in Leonia. As one of the premiere owners and operators of commercial real estate for over 75 years, Alexander Summer has meticulously assembled a high-quality portfolio with a prestigious tenant roster. At the time of closing, the assets were nearly 100% leased.

"The sale of this portfolio is part of our firm's strategy to focus our efforts in new joint venture and asset management opportunities," stated Alexander von Summer, III, managing partner. "Ivy Equities is one of the region's leading owners and we felt a tremendous sense of synergy and shared business philosophy with their organization."

Summer added, "This transaction provides answers for the divergent needs of our investment partners. Our strategy going forward is to continue to build on the Alexander Summer franchise by seeking new investment opportunities across a range of asset classes."

Founded in 1933, Alexander Summer is one of New Jersey's most admired real estate organizations. In 2001, Alexander Summer spun off its brokerage operation to form CresaPartners New Jersey, which is part of an international corporate real estate advisory firm that exclusively represents tenants and specializes in the delivery of fully integrated real estate services.

Advisors in the transactions were Martin Klebanoff, senior vice president and marketing director, and James Poole, senior vice president and marketing director of Northmarq Capital in Parsippany.

Stephen Soleymani, Esq. of Morrison Cohen LLP, represented Ivy Equities. Michael Sternlieb of Cole Schotz Meisel Forman & Leonard PC, represented the interests of the real estate partnerships.
